Hey Baseball Flows Family,

You’ve probably heard it before: "Use your legs!"
But what if we told you that your player’s legs—specifically the quads—might be the very thing getting in the way of smooth, powerful, injury-free movement?

Here’s the deal:
When a player lacks hip mobility and core + pelvic stability, their body will naturally fall back on using their quads to push, jump, or “muscle” the movement.

⚠️ The problem?
The quads extend (straighten) the knees!
They push the player off the ground too early, which disconnects their body from the ground before they can properly rotate and throw.

It’s like trying to launch a rocket while it’s still wobbling on the pad.

So what should be leading the movement?

The Pelvis and Deep Core.
Think of them as the captain and co-pilot of every athletic throw or swing.
They stabilize the body and escort the arms—so the arm doesn’t have to “do too much” and break down over time.
