Your Baseball Player Isn’t the Problem... It’s the Frame

Parents—

I read a comment recently that perfectly summed up what’s happening in baseball development right now:

“Kids develop skills… but never the frame.”

And honestly…

that’s the problem.

Because most players today are doing everything they’re told:

⚾ Taking lessons
⚾ Getting reps
⚾ Playing more games than ever

But then game time comes…

and something doesn’t show up.

You’ve probably felt it:

“My son looks great in practice…
so why isn’t it translating in games?”

Here’s the truth:

They’re building skills on top of a body that isn’t ready to support them.

Think of it like this:

Skills are the painting.
Movement is the frame.

You can have great mechanics…

But if the frame is weak, uncoordinated, or disconnected—

everything breaks down under pressure.

That’s why you see:

⚾ Late swings
⚾ Off-balance throws
⚾ Rushed plays
⚾ Inconsistent performance

Not because they don’t know what to do…

But because their body can’t organize fast enough to do it.

This is exactly what we discussed on the latest podcast with Patrick Jones and Doug Latta.

One of the biggest takeaways:

Players don’t fail because of mechanics…
they fail because of how they move.

At Baseball Flows, we build the frame first.

We train:

⚾ Global movement patterns
⚾ Deep core + glute connection
⚾ Balance, coordination, and transitions
⚾ Athletic movement that actually transfers to the field

All rooted in developmental kinesiology

how the body learns to move, organize, and adapt.

Because when you build the frame:

⚾ Movements become smoother
⚾ Power shows up naturally
⚾ The game slows down
⚾ Skills finally translate

So if your player looks like two different athletes…

One in practice
One in games

It’s not effort.

It’s not talent.

It’s the missing frame.

Build the frame.
The skills will finally show up.
